WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO GET STARTED?

You do not need to know your diagnosis or goals to get in touch-this is often a big part of our initial work together. All you have to know is what in your life is concerning or confusing to you or what is coming up that’s caused you to reach out now.

what will happen in the consultation?

In the free 30-minute consultation, I will speak about my particular approach to therapy and give you some idea about what therapy with me will feel like. You will provide details about what’s bringing you to reach out and as much or as little information as you’d like to provide. At the end, we will jointly decide if moving forward to an initial session feels right.

how often do we meet?

Initially, I would request that we meet at a minimum weekly. After some time, we may decide that bi-weekly or weekly may be best for the treatment goals. I do not provide twice a month service (for After many goals have been reached, occasionally we will meet as needed or monthly to maintain connection and contact.

When does therapy end?

Clients are free to end treatment whenever they feel. Ending therapy is often a joint decision and can be for many reasons and after any length of therapy. Therapy like other relationships are collaborative and require both parties to determine their future.



What are the pros/cons for therapy?

Although therapy is overall designed to improve wellbeing, participating in therapy can be challenging at times as we can delve into areas which people tend to avoid or not reveal to others. During the times of discomfort, the therapy will rely on the power of the relationship and the sense of trust and safety the client feels to weather the storm of discomfort which will hopefully lead to the resolution of pain.


WHAT ARE YOUR FEES? DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?

At this time, I do not take any insurance. All fees are established at the onset of therapy and to meet the needs of clients, I offer some sliding scale slots which factors in affordability and income of clients. Fees are also available for adjustment based on evolving circumstances for the client. If you are questioning cost, I encourage you to reach out and we can discuss what is possible. All payments are charged after each session via credit card on file and managed through the portal.

Is therapy confidential?

Most treatment information is confidential and in the initial session, we will review mandated reporting responsibilities and concerns for suicidality. Trust and safety are built on transparency, my goal is to empower all clients with the clear understanding of the depths and limits of the therapeutic relationship.

What is the Therapy Portal?

Christine D. Fazio Therapy Portal is an online tool to provide you with information about your appointments, manage payments, provide intake information and contact information. An invitation to the portal will come after the consultation.
